Attended LSU and was a standout athlete on their track and field team

Gained international recognition when she ran 10.75 in the 100 meter at the NCAA championships

Qualified for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics after winning the 100 meter at the US Olympic trials in 2021

Tested positive for marijuana, stated that she was using it because of the loss of her mother just before the Olympic trials

Unable to compete in the Olympics

Removed from the US Olympic team

Despite her challenges she was still able to win the world Championships in 2023, taking home the gold medal and running a championship record time of 10.65.
