Sha'Carri Richardson

  • March 25th 2000 in Dallas Texas, USA.

  • Attended LSU and was a standout athlete on their track and field team 

  • Gained international recognition when she ran 10.75 in the 100 meter at the NCAA championships

  • Qualified for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics after winning the 100 meter at the US Olympic trials in 2021

    • Tested positive for marijuana, stated that she was using it because of the loss of her mother just before the Olympic trials

    • Unable to compete in the Olympics

    • Removed from the US Olympic team

  • Despite her challenges she was still able to win the world Championships in 2023, taking home the gold medal and running a championship record time of 10.65.
